Ask Bluey is a search and discovery engine that helps you to find new web pages that relate to your own interests and the pages that you "like".
Designed and developed in Bondi Beach, we compared the way unexpected objects wash up on the beach to the way you discover things on the internet. So we wanted "Bluey" to represent the ocean with all its possibilities of new discovery.
Ask Bluey is built in c++ and c# on an ASP.NET MVC 3 stack. The custom built indexing technology leverages natural language processing and semantic analysis and is built in c++ for performance.
Third party front end libraries used by Ask Bluey include:
Back end libraries include:
- Boost - specifically the Boost Graph Library
- LIBSVM for support vector classification
- Eigen and dnAnalytics for linear algebra and decomposition
- Facebook SDK for Facebook integration
- Twitterizer for Twitter integration
- SharpZipLib for zip file handling
- 51Degrees.mobi for mobile detection
- ASP.NET MVC Sprite and Image Optimization
Icon sets are from led24 and Pro Theme Design.
